Founded in 1959 by William Gibson, Gibson's Discount Centers were beloved local fixture, offering a variety of products, from home appliances to electronics, furniture, and toys, all at discounted prices. Despite facing financial challenges and the decline of the Gibson's chain in the 1980s, the Weatherford location has endured, remaining a family-owned and operated business for over 60 years.

Community
Having been a local staple of Weatherford for generations, Gibson's has long been a source of support for our community. From sponsoring local sports teams, to donating masks during the Covid pandemic, Gibson's has maintained our community-first business model.
The Big Bang
Gibson's Cosmic Cards began in late 2023, when we decided to take our personal hobbies as collectors and bring it to an underserved community. Before we started, Weatherford hadn't had a card shop since the early 2000's. The response was immediate and explosive, allowing us to enter 2025 in our very own stand alone card shop!
